Whilst most people were doing the sensible thing over the Christmas period siting in front of the TV, opening presents and stuffing turkey and mince pies the boys at Tracktive were locked away in the workshop once again getting our latest project Race fit in time for its first outing at the end of January. For those of you have not visited us in the last few months and have not seen the "Satsuma" we are of course talking about the new car in the stable which is no less than Mat Neales 2004 BTCC wining Honda Civic Type R.

The project landed in our workshop in December as a bare shell and lots of cardboard boxes, (so it was a bit like Christmas without the pretty paper !) and we had only a matter of weeks to get the car up and running. Of course nothing is so straight forward when you are working with an EX Touring car as almost every single part had to be made or at least modified which resulted in some more midnight oil and a few more shares in 24 hour Mac Donalds but I am glad to say that the car made its first test and ran all day.

A big thanks goes out to Rich Sams for braving the elements on the day and puttig together a fantastic collectic of shots on the day.
